The New York Stage & Film Intern program supports the next generation of theater artists with an unparalleled opportunity to live, work, and train alongside top professionals. The Intern program is best suited for individuals who have a basic understanding of their department, and who are seeking a robust opportunity to further them on their respective trajectories. Applicants should attend colleges/universities that provide the opportunity to apply for summer financial support. These positions will not receive financial compensation from New York Stage & Film, and so, we are intentional about only accepting applicants whose academic institution can provide financial support. S&F encourages individuals with unconventional yet applicable experience to apply.

COMPANY MANAGEMENT INTERN(S)

Managing housing assignments for all artists and staff in residence.

Assisting with the load-in, hanging, and balancing of audio equipment for public-facing programming.

During public performances, ensuring that patron concerns/issues are handled in an effective manner and reporting is accurate
Supporting department with tracking and maintaining inventory, loading in for the summer, and loading out at the end.
Managing the day-to-day operations of the Box Office, including but not limited to daily reporting, maintaining up-to-date patron information, scheduling, processing orders, and donations, etc
Working with patrons over the phone, online, and in-person to process orders, answer questions, and provide information about the Summer Season
Assisting with season show building in our ticketing system/software
Managing ticketing holds for community organizations, S&F artists, supporters and other VIP patrons
Helping build pre-performance audience communications, and communicating information regarding performances and organizational policies to patrons
Managing guests’ Front of House experience including organizing will-call/check in and coordinating audience seating
Demonstrating excellent customer service skills and comprehensive problem-solving skills when resolving patron ticketing and seating issues

Housing in apartment-style townhouses will be provided on the Marist University campus. Every individual will have a private bedroom, free in-unit laundry, and free on-campus parking.
Multiple free meals will be provided throughout each week in-residence. More specifics can be provided closer to hiring.
