POWERHOUSE SEASONAL INTERNSHIPS
New York Stage and Film hires SUMMER INTERNS for the annual season of new plays and musicals at the Powerhouse Theater at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Powerhouse Season supports 2 fully-produced mainstage productions, 3 musical workshops, 2 play workshops, up to 10 readings, and a few residency projects in a flexible environment tailored to meet each project’s developmental needs. Powerhouse interns receive hands-on practical training in their specific departments, master classes with senior staff and visiting artists, and other educational and career-development support. Several interns each year continue on to work in the field thanks to relationships they built during their time with New York Stage and Film, and others return as members of NYSAF’s seasonal staff. Commitment generally runs from early June to early August. Stipend and free on-campus housing provided, as well as access to campus resources such as the gym and library.
