NYC ARTS ADMINISTRATION INTERN
New York Stage and Film hires a part-time Arts Administration Intern for the New York City office in the Fall (Sept - Dec) and Spring (Jan - May). This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in artistic development, general management, producing, fundraising, and development. Ideal candidate must have excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills; the ability to prioritize and multitask; and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Prior arts administration experience is a strong plus. Part-time, based on candidate’s schedule. Unpaid. Includes monthly Metrocard.
NYSAF is especially interested in candidates who are eager to gain exposure to different facets of arts administration, and will work collaboratively to identify projects that facilitate growth in areas of particular interest. The Arts Administration Intern will assist the Artistic Producer, General Manager, and Development and Communications Manager in all line producing, general management, and communications work. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Artistic Producer: coordinating casting, supporting stage managers with logistics, organizational projects
General Management: petty cash and accounts payable assistance, general office management, day-to-day administrative duties, phone coverage
Development and Communications Manager: entering donations, collaboration in generating content for newsletters and social media, minor web/graphic design, mailing list maintenance
Additional seasonal: assistance with the annual Winter Gala, coordinating staffing for summer season, other tasks based on a candidate's particular skills.
