Sound Supervisor: AEA company New York Stage and Film seeks SOUND SUPERVISOR for 2012 Powerhouse Season of new plays at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Sound Supervisor oversees all aspects of Sound Department, including interfacing with mainstage sound designers and other artists, sound package purchase, loading in system, changing over, maintaining equipment, and managing assistant and interns.  May include some design opportunities for workshops.  Previous Sound Supervisor experience required. Season will consist of 2-3 fully-produced mainstage productions, 2-3 play workshops, 2 musical workshops and 8-10 readings.  Positions run June to early-August.  Staff are paid a weekly salary and provided free on-campus housing.

Properties Supervisor: AEA company New York Stage and Film seeks PROPERTIES SUPERVISOR for 2012 Powerhouse Season of new plays at Vassar in Poughkeepsie, NY.   Supervisor’s responsibilities include budgeting and the build/acquisition of all properties needed.  Standard props construction skills (crafts, carpentry, sewing, upholstery), comfort working with well-established designers and supervising a small department are required.  Season will consist of 2-3 fully-produced mainstage productions, 2-3 play workshops, 2 musical workshops and 8-10 readings.  Positions run June to early-August.  Staff are paid a weekly salary and provided free on-campus housing.

Summer Internships- Summer Internships are currently available for the Powerhouse 2012 Summer Season of new plays in the following areas:

Production (Carpentry, Electrics, Sound, Costumes, Props, or Production Management)- Assist department supervisors and designers during tech and production

Stage Management- Assist AEA stage managers on several productions and workshops throughout the summer

Company Management- Assist Company Manager with day-to-day company needs, hospitality, special events, travel, and housing

Administration- Assist Artistic Director and General Manager with day-to-day administrative responsibilities and special projects

Internships come with a very modest stipend and free housing provided on the Vassar College campus in Poughkeepsie, NY.  The season runs from June through early-August.
